I come from a place where storytelling is second nature.
Music is our way to remember, to relive.
Family. Farmlands. Old, true ways.
I dream in music.
Of a perfect South, where we all belong...
Performing live is a profound experience for me. Sharing original songs, playing with great musicians, connecting with listeners...story telling in the most intimate way.
Along with my solo and ensemble work, I also collaborate with Johnny Russell on harmonica. A soulful and innovative partner, Johnny can be heard on several recordings including Live at Sweet Basil featuring Grammy award winning trumpeter, Doc Cheatham.
Johnny also worked and recorded with Arvell Shaw of
Louis Armstrong's All-Stars fame, toured nationally and performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
We both share a passion for the magic of live music.
